Our Classical Ballet classes follow an amazing system of training, progressing systematically through levels that comprehensively cover all aspects of Classical Ballet technique, in order to build strength and artistry.
Proficient pointe work is required at senior levels.
Open Ballet is designed to benefit our intermediate and senior dancers. Focusing on technique and artistry,
From Bronze Medal up, it is recommended that dancers attend class 2-3 times per week, as it helps build strength, flexibility, and technique.
Open Ballet is included in your term fees from Bronze Medal.
Discovering Repertoire is an innovative classical ballet performance program designed for students aged 12 and up, as well as adults of all ages. This lovely system features variations from beloved ballets like Swan Lake, Giselle, Coppélia, The Sleeping Beauty, Paquita, and The Nutcracker.
All work can be performed in flat shoes or en pointe!
Jazz is a continually changing and evolving genre encompassing many styles such as Broadway, Musical Theatre and Lyrical to name a few.
Our Jazz classes follow an innovative system of training that encompasses all styles from foundational Jazz to the very latest moves.
Open Jazz is a fun group classes that encourage teamwork, fitness, and trying new things!
We focus on refining technique, breakdown difficult combinations, and try new choreography together.
Open Jazz is included in your term fees from Bronze Medal.
We have a bit of fun in lyrical class, dancing to music influenced by our dancers.
Expanding teamwork and choreography skills, while exploring and interpreting the emotions of the pieces.
Lyrical is great for dancers who love to perform, as it provides an extra performance opportunity in our end of year show!
Our Hip-Hop classes follow an incredible, modern system of training.
Our focus is on correct technique including body placement and alignment together with the need for individuality and personal style in the execution of the work. Learn all the street styles, right up to the very latest moves!
Examinations at BHVDA are a positive and encouraging experience. Everyone can learn, dance and achieve.
We follow the ATOD syllabi and have yearly exam sessions that our dancers work towards.
We encourage examinations has it keeps us working towards a standard, better ourselves as dancers, teachers, and as a team.
Performing is a huge part of dancing, and often something our dancers look forward to the most.
Costumes, makeup, and dancing onstage is exciting and fun. We love giving our dancers the opportunity to perform every year.
Private lessons for competition choreography and practice are available for our enrolled dancers.
Ages are a guide, dancers' level depends on maturity, ability, dedication, previous experience, class etiquette, and how much practice is put in outside of class. Every dancer is individual and will progress at their own rate 🩶
